Dr. Hickey is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College. She has always had a passion for helping people, which first sparked her Her love of helping people has always been a driving force, and it was in high school that she became interested in chiropractic care.

After starting to shadow nearby chiropractors, Dr. Alyssa Hickey made the decision to pursue her studies at King's College in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology and a minor in neuroscience. She continued to serve others while she was employed at King's by planning and taking part in numerous volunteer events and joining AmeriCorps. Additionally, Alyssa was actively involved in the school community. She served as the class representative, president of the biology club, and secretary of the neuroscience club.

After completing her studies at King's College, she relocated to Seneca Falls, New York, where she enrolled at New York Chiropractic College. Shortly into her education, she began to have increased enthusiasm for learning more about women’s health, specifically in treating pregnant women and children. Alyssa gained further education on her interest by submerging herself in related courses, clubs, and seminars including Pediatric Radiology, Pregnancy and Pediatric Nutrition, Women’s Health Care Issues, and Clinical Pediatrics Chiropractic Care. She is also a member of the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Hickey is certified by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics, an intensive postgraduate certification focusing on pregnancy and pediatric care, as well as practical applications of pediatric neurology and physiology. Completion of the CACCP requires extensive research, 200 curriculum hours, and a final exam that takes several months to complete. She also earned her certification in the Webster technique, which is a set of diverse adjustments used to reduce the effects of sacral and SI dysfunction and improve neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis. Her mission is to educate mothers about the normal functions of their bodies during pregnancy, as well as the need for ideal alignment for maintaining natural and healthy motions, to promote happy mothers and healthy newborns.
